An F103! The model that saved Audi.

You don’t often see those.

There are at least two of the in my neighborhood. I’ve always liked them. Didn’t they have fwd?

I like these Audis way more than I should. Also, portrait photos lead to lots of scrolling.

Yes, fwd. All post war Audis were fwd (with an addition to 4wd in some cases of course).

The F103 was based on the DKW F102 which in turn was descended from various two stroke Auto Unions and pre war DKWs. All fwd.

Wartburgs were derived from the same source following the takeover of the pre war Auto Union business which had been based entirely in what became the DDR.

That pic was taken by me in the hip Kreuzberg district of Berlin. I think it was some kind of beach bar by the Spree river. They had some cool cars there, the Oldsmobile was also there as well as an old Mercury or Lincoln sitting on containers. Berlin is awesome for car spotting. In the same street there was a Matra Murena.

Damn, sorry. I don’t want to draw too much attention when I take pictures of other people’s cars so I take them rather fast and don’t think about holding my phone vertical.

My great-grandfather had a Fiat like the pne in the top pic. In the Philippines. Sold to another member of the extended family when he passed away some 15 years ago.

Haha, not a problem, I do the same pretty often. I do really like the Audi though.

It’s lovely. There are two of them in my neighborhood. One driven by what looks like the original owner.

It’s so wonderfully understated. I see clean ones on mobile.de all the time.
